Cloudflare announced new automatic remediation policies for its CASB product, expanding on earlier manual remediation features released earlier this year.
What Happened
The new policies let security teams design event‑driven logic to revoke risky file shares and dispatch custom webhooks immediately after a finding is detected. CASB surfaces risks such as overshared files, dormant admin keys, tokens, and OAuth apps with excessive permissions across SaaS apps. Previously, CASB was a passive alarm system that required manual intervention to fix issues.
Why It Matters
Instant remediation reduces the window between detection and action from hours or days to near real‑time, lowering the chance that sensitive data is exposed or misused. It also frees security teams from repetitive manual tasks, enabling them to focus on higher‑level strategy.
The Limitation
The feature is only available for Cloudflare CASB customers and may not cover all SaaS platforms or all types of misconfigurations yet.
